I was really hoping that the Hornets would stun the Spurs but it just didn't work out that way. The Spurs showed exactly why they are the defending champs and why you just can't count them out. All I can do is hope that Kobe Bryant and the Lakers finish off the job that the Hornets started.
There is a huge NBA trade rumor out there between the Nets and the Nuggets. The propsed trade is Marcus Williams, Richard Jefferson, Keith Van Horn, and a first round draft pick for Marcus Camby and Carmelo Anthony. That's Right! Carmelo Anthony! I would be really suprised if this trade were to go through. Rumor has it that its only in the preliminary stages but what a difference this would make in the Eastern Conference if it were to go through. All I have to say is poor Allen Iverson. He can't catch a break.

I'm sick of the Spurs too man. I just didn't think the Hornets could sustain what they were doing that's why I chose the Spurs to win. I'm scared for my Lakers in this next round, and don't know what to do. I gotta go with Lakers in 7, but wouldn't be shocked if the Spurs won. I hope they don't though. That trade would be huge, kind of crazy Denver would do that since Melo is only 24...he's not KG yet as to where he can't get out of the 1st round but he's working towards it.
I don't think the C's are going to win in 5, or 6, or at all. I'm taking the Pistons in 6. I think they are going to actually play serious and the C's just can't turn it on for whatever reason. I would love for it to be Celtics/Lakers in the finals but it could just as easily be the Spurs/Pistons [only 2 people would watch that crap].
P.S.- Big Brown isn't going to win the triple crown. Sure he's been dominant but he's raced a lot recently. Another 1.5 miles after much of the competition has rested doesn't seem possible. Hopefully no filly's, like eight bells, races in this one haha.
